Ossiform® enters U.S. partnership with Asimov Ventures

First step into the U.S. market

Ossiform® receives investment from New York based venture capital firm, Asimov Ventures, and enters valuable U.S. partnership. The partnership with Asimov Ventures marks the Company’s first step into the U.S. market, looking toward an early commercialization of P3D Bone in the USA.

Asimov Ventures invests in technology, including but not limited to 3D printing, and GP Tyler Benster says: “Ossiform® impressed with its next-generation technology for 3D printing bone. Orthopedic implants have been a major engine of growth for additive manufacturing, although today, these implants are largely produced in titanium. Ossiform®’s technology uses calcium phosphate, the same mineral as natural bone. Although there are regulatory milestones ahead to prove that this process is safe, we chose Ossiform® as the winner of this year’s Additive Manufacturing Strategies’ startup competition given the massive market opportunity as well as benefit to mankind at large for safer bone implants”.

“We are looking forward to initiate this collaboration with Asimov Ventures which aims to advance the Company’s commercialization activities in the U.S.”, said Thea Wulff Olesen, CEO of Ossiform®.

The partnership follows Ossiform®’s attendance at the third annual Additive Manufacturing Strategies summit in Boston earlier this year, where the Company won the AMS Startup Competition.

Ossiform® is grateful for the recognition and validation of the Company and its technology in the USA, which demonstrates a great market potential for the P3D Bone implant.
